Fibrous Papule of the Nose

A fibrous papule of the nose, also known as an angiofibroma, is a small growth—dome shaped, flesh to pink colored, and pinhead sized—that is usually on or around the nose. Fibrous papules of the nose are not precancerous but cannot be distinguished in appearance with a nodular basal cell carcinoma and is sometimes biopsied. [Figure 1]
